After shooting Juan at Yuri's Night (see April 16), he asked if I would take some photos of Sharon for an album he is helping her put together. As a result, yesterday I tried my hand at portrait/people photography for the first time ever.

The results were mixed. I don't know enough to be able to tell someone how to pose, and while I can recognize things that I don't like, I'm not very good at saying what I do like. My other observation is that if this is something I get into, investing in some good lights will be a necessity. We were shooting indoors, and many of my shots didn't turn out well because they were either too dim, or I shot at too low a shutter speed and they were blurred.

But this one turned out ok, I thought.
