On Sunday I went to an "intro to lighting" class, a casual affair offered by a fellow Texas Photo Forum participant. I'm not hugely interested in portrait photography, at least not at this point in my amateur "career" but I figured the class would be educational. And it was. If anything, I needed an even more basic class, since I'd never had any experience with any of the equipment. In the end, I found myself less interested in the equipment and setup and more interested in letting someone else set up the lights properly so that I could just shoot and see what I got. I'm more interested in learning how to tell people to move, and pose, and what looks good through the camera. This is Jourdan, one of two models brought in for the hands-on shooting portion of the class. She's 19 and spending the summer in Houston. In addition to being beautiful, she also was fun to talk to and had a great personality. Some gals have it all. ;)
