26 Nov 2004 Holiday Sangria

I don't go home for Thanksgiving these days. It just makes more sense to save the vacation time and money, and go home for a bit longer at Christmas. Fortunately, I haven't yet been left lacking for friends on the holiday.

I ran the Turkey Trot with Rich, talked to my mom while watching the Macy's parade on TV, and then had a lovely, delicious Thanksgiving meal with Jo and her parents, and the other "Thanksgiving orphans" -- Josh, Nick, Melanie and Carlos. Jo's parents prepared an absolutely fantastic array of food, and her mother said that she hoped everyone tasted a little bit of home in one of the dishes.

I did, and it was fabulous.
