I shot this through the window of the hotel room where three of us spent last Saturday night before running the marathon on Sunday. We live in Houston, but the city is so sprawling that staying downtown, where the race started and finished, saved us from a half hour drive the next morning.

It was neat to be so high up, but unfortunately we couldn't see much past the other tall buildings. I had to brace the camera against the window to steady it, but even that didn't work all the time. This was the only shot that really came out clear.
