11 Jun 2005 Argonath

On Thursday, I skipped out of work early with a few friends to check out the Lord of the Rings exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The exhibit consists of lots of props, scale models, costumes, weapons, and art from the three movies, as well as some examples of how the many digital effects were done. The exhibit was pricey ($17.50) but enjoyable. I took almost two hours wandering through and watching the many video clips (most of which are on the DVDs as extras, I hear, though I haven't watched all the extras yet).

Cameras weren't allowed inside the exhibit, so I shot what I could -- this scale model of the Argonath in the museum lobby.

Submitted for June 10 Photo Friday, Nerdy.
